Brian started in the business at the age of 15, washing boats, painting bottoms, and doing new boat orientations for a local Bertram, Trojan, Carver, Wellcraft and Glastron dealer.   By the age of 16, he was managing the ship store, and sold his first boat for the company at the age of 17 at a regional Great Lakes Boat Show.  He was hooked.

During his college years, Brian worked for a marine distribution company covering a territory for them in sales while tending, somewhat, to his studies.

Soon after that, Brian began in sales for the second largest, and home- town dealer for Chris Craft.  Within a year, he was managing a team of 13 sales people in three locations for the second largest Chris Craft dealer in the nation.  Brian also served as a broker/new boat salesperson for several years selling Bertram, Ocean Yachts, Grand Banks, Island Packet and Sabre Sail in the Great Lakes region before packing his bags and moving to Florida to begin a stint at Allied Richard Bertram as a sales executive, and then Director of Sales for Tiara Yachts.  After 4 years at ARBMG, he was chosen as a product manager for Tiara, Grand Banks and Maritmo Yachts, and moved to the panhandle of Florida with Galati Yacht Sales.

After eight years with Galati, Brian and his family moved back to Michigan to finish the raising of their last two daughters, connected with Grand Banks and Palm Beach Yachts, and sold that product factory direct for nearly 5 years, before joining Hinckley Yachts in the spring of 2019.

Brian, his wife Sandra, and their two daughters, Allie and Piper are now back home in Holland, MI, and enjoy Northern Michigan summers, and time in Florida when family responsibilities allow.

Brian is a US Coast Guard licensed captain, private pilot, Certified Professional Yacht Broker, and member of the International Yacht Brokers Association.
