WYTHE INGEBRITSON Brokerage
Besides a love for all things on and around the water, Wythe brings a depth of experience to his role as yacht broker at Hinckley Yachts.
Wythe got his start on boats working on and then captaining ferries in Boston Harbor before and throughout his college years. After graduation, a delivery on a traditional schooner from Maine to the Caribbean and back led to a couple years running schooners on the coast of Maine. The call of the Caribbean pulled he and his wife back to run charter boats for the following five years, managing all aspects of the boat, maintenance and charter business.
After taking a year to travel around the world, Wythe and his wife returned to Maine in 1999 to start a family and Wythe started his career at Hinckley. Beginning in service in the rigging department, he moved to a position training new Hinckley owners in all aspects of using and maintaining their boats. He later moved to the boat building side of the business, eventually running both the project management and the quality departments.
An opportunity to work in sales at Morris Yachts led to a five year break from Hinckley and an introduction into the sales process where he found he thoroughly enjoyed the relationships built while helping people either find the right boat or sell their existing boat. In selling both new and brokerage yachts for Morris he was also very involved in both the builds and management of the new boats and the service and maintenance of the brokerage boats.
An opportunity to come back to Hinckley in 2011 to run project management in production led to a position in the brokerage department where he has been happy to be able to use his extensive knowledge of the use, construction and maintenance of Hinckleys and other high quality yachts to help both buyers and sellers with the process of buying or selling a yacht. When Wythe is not helping someone find their next boat (or the next owner of their boat), he enjoys photography, being outside and most of all spending time with his wife and two boys – ideally on the water in one form or another.
