OVERVIEW

HOBNOB is a very well-found and updated Picnic Boat Classic. Maintained by Hinckley Yacht Services in our YachtCare package for years, she is in fabulous condition with many sought after updates. Priced to sell now and located at our docks in Portsmouth.


HULL:

Construction:  

  • Hull is Hinckley proprietary DUALGUARD with Kevlar/e-glass outer skins and Carbon Fiber inner skins, end-grain balsa laminated via the SCRIMP process with vinylester.
  • Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa cored, molded with polyester resin.  
  • The deck and cockpit sole have a molded-in nonskid pattern.
  • Stainless steel half round on fiberglass molded rub rail
  • Molded anchor locker in foredeck with flush hinged hatch
  • Heavy-duty fiberglass swim platform has teak insert treads, stainless steel bracket and half round, and a stainless-steel folding swim ladder.

DECK features:

  • Rounded, tapered, varnished teak toe rail with Hinckley profile
  • Varnished teak eyebrow molding around cabin top
  • Varnished teak handrails on cabin top and pilothouse top.

COCKPIT

ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT:

The pilothouse companionway door forward leads down two companionway steps to the accommodations below.   Immediately to port is the Galley and the enclosed Head to starboard.  Forward are V-berths for two with stowage and hanging locker. 

 

Interior Below:  

The interior is finished in satin-varnished cherry, including sheathing. The cabin sole is varnished teak and holly and has a custom cabin sole cover.  

  • Five (5) Frigast stainless steel 12-volt lamps provide plenty of interior lighting.
  • Accu-point heater has ducts in the main cabin, head and pilothouse.  
  • Pressure hot and cold freshwater system in galley and head.

 

GALLEY (Port) 

Convenient to the pilothouse, the galley features:

  • Clear Sand Formica countertop
  • Microwave
  • Stainless steel undermounted sink with Grohe fixtures 
  • Force 10 two-burner stove with remote propane shut-off and wood stove cover
  • Adler Barbour refrigeration – 12-volt “Cold Machine” refrigerator in a self-draining box

The stove is set in the countertop forward and has a custom wood stove cover/cutting board that adds to the already ample counter space surrounding the sink.  The refrigeration is mounted aft of the sink and is accessed by a lift-up top.   

The galley is separated from the V-berth area with a “pantry” locker with louvered door and several shelves.          

HEAD

Opposite the galley to starboard is a private head with a solid cherry door.
