OVERVIEW

The Gozzard 36 was designed by H. Ted Gozzard and was built by the families of North Castle Marine Boatworks in Ontario, Canada.  Known for solid construction and beautiful woodwork, the 36 combines the traditional styling with a cutter rig and clipper bow with innovative design.  The interior can be configured in several different ways through folding bulkheads and passage doors and is ideal for a couple cruising while still comfortably accommodating another couple or two.

VESSEL DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION: 

 

RAVEN’S NEST is a nice example of the model and has been sailed lightly in Maine the past several summers and stored inside at Hinckley Yacht Services more recently.  She is commissioned and ready for the season and has recent electronics and was repowered with a new Yanmar engine in 2012 with less than 700 hours.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

 

The large open interior is finished in varnished cherry and is cleverly designed with foldaway bulkheads and doors so it can be quickly and easily sub-divided into a separate forward cabin, main cabin, and small stern cabin.

 

The forward cabin features a V – shaped seating arrangement with removable table that pull together to convert into a double bed. The entertainment unit (TV-DVD, AM-FM Radio/CD player) swings out at the foot of the bed. With 2 large overhead hatches and generous portholes she is surprisingly light and airy below.

 

Aft of the forward cabin there is a galley to port and a dinette opposite to starboard that also serves as a nav station and converts to another double berth.  Aft of the galley at the base of companionway is the forward cabin. 

 

 

Forward Cabin :

 

Both the forward and aft cabins can be completely isolated. There are cherry panels behind the back seat cushions of the nav station that flip up and can be secured to create a bulkhead. There are also doors to close off each cabin that lock cleverly in either the open or closed position.
