OVERVIEW

The Eastbay 39 SX is one of the second-generation Eastbay boats designed by Raymond Hunt and Associates for Grand Banks and maintains similarities to the first-generation 38 and 43.

In 2005, Rob Livingston, the GB CEO did a smart thing by sending his then VP of Sales, Neil McCurdy, to visit the Hunt Design group and pursue what had been learned by GB and their Dealers from the design, construction, and distribution of nearly 300 of these earlier first generation entry-level models. The results are revealed in terms of consumer preferences and on display in the EB 39 SX.    Clearly, much was learned from these boat owners and the customer-based purchase orders for the production and sale of a hundred and forty Eastbay 49s and 54s. Many of these results and the ensuing discussions amongst the network and with Hunt are also incorporated and on display in the Eastbay 39.    Consequently, this nicely thought out “ Tealaweigh” shows well in the Helm deck and lower arrangement layout in terms beyond the traditional bed, galley, and shower as it is a better boat for seating,  climate control, sun protection,  cabin security, and lighting as well as window design for lower maintenance going forward.   This process was extended to the control systems, the electrical panel, and the main circuitry layout as it is improved and more conveniently situated for women.  The enhanced electrical circuit designs benefited from enhanced industry trends and make future service more simplified and less costly.   Tealaweigh has several special features that set her apart from other EB 39s on the market today:   Electronic engine controls by Twin Disc  CAT maintenance including 1000-hour service by Shore Power, Inc. Entertainment Center Electric heaters New air conditioning units (2016) Cockpit sunshade Hydraulic dinghy davit system Dual 30 Amp shore power system Two sets of window covers New Victron system (2021) Additional Lifeline house battery Additional Galley cabinets and hardware Flag Blue Awlgrip on hull (2021) Swim ladder under the swim platform Recent prop scans (2021) Spring 2023 upgrades:  fresh Awlcare on hull and superstructure, 2 coats of exterior varnish, Micron CSC bottom paint, engine service, and fresh Prop Speed.

Tealaweigh is currently in heated storage but can be launched with one day’s notice.
