Vessel Description

CONSTRUCTION:

• Hull and deck are vacuum bagged fiberglass composite with end grain balsa core
• Hydraulically controlled positive buoyancy centerboard (centerboard ram replaced 2005)
• Topsides Awlgripped dark green with single white boot stripe and Cordovan Gold painted cove stripe(2019)
• Red bottom paint
• Skeg hung rudder with aperture for feathering prop

Deck Hardware:

• Teak decks on side decks and cockpit. 
• Perforated aluminum toe rail with integrated midship chocks

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The MKI three cabin layout provides a private cabin forward with V-berth, a large aft cabin with two berths on either side of companionway steps and a nav station with a large central main salon with a separate companionway ladder providing deck access without passing through the aft cabin.  A large pass through galley is between the main salon and the aft cabin on the starboard side and the head connects to both spaces on the port side.

The interior is finished in teak with a traditional teak and holly cabin sole (interior revarnished in 20011-13 and cabin sole revarnished 2011) and shows very well

• Opening overhead hatches with screens, opening portlights and dorades provide excellent natural light and ventilation
• Overhead dome lights and bulkhead reading lights provide additional lighting below
• Caned panels in locker doors for ventilation

GALLEY:

• Force 10 gimbaled three burner propane stove with oven (2010) and crash bar with spice shelf above
• Large front opening separate fridge and freezer compartments with Sea Frost 12v compressors for both compartments with digital controls (2010)
• Stainless steel double sink with hot and cold pressure water and manual pump faucets for fresh and salt water with dish storage above sink
• Seagull water filter and faucet
• Overhead dorade vent provides ventilation
• Storage in lockers outboard of sink and in drawers and lockers aft of stove

NAV STATION:

• Conveniently located at base of companionway from cockpit in aft cabin

MAIN CABIN:

• The head can be accessed from the main cabin or aft cabin and the doors can be latched open to create a companionway between them
